Be compliant with the SCIP Database. Everything you need to know, plus a tip for non-EU companies.
📌 If you manufacture products in the EU or place products on the EU market, you have obligations.
📌 Only articles are in scope. You don’t need to submit a notification for substances or mixtures.
📌 Do not forget about packaging! It is in scope as well!
📌 If your product has one or more components that contain a substance of very high concern above 0,1% (find the substances list in the comments) you need to submit a notification.
📌 Prepare your notification in IUCLID and submit it on the ECHA submission portal. Other submissions are not accepted.
As a non-EU company selling to the EU, you don’t have obligations under the SCIP database, but you must provide all the information your importers need to meet their obligations.
